Frequently asked questions about The Sims 3

Q: Why do my poses not look like the ones shown in the pose list?

A:

Quite often poses are conflicted when used with a heavily altered template. This is when sliders are used to create a different shaped neck of a horse in the game. It may look more like an AQH for example but when you use a Western pleasure walk pose where the neck should be straight, quite often your horses' necks won't look right and often be more curved.

This happens because when a pose is made in Blender, the horse rig as it's called, is basically the basic Sims 3 horse, without any part of it having sliders adjust how it looks.

If you have a look at my stock conformation poses here, the reason there is more than one horse demonstrating the poses, is to show how different templates look by using that pose.

The same goes for dressage poses, quite often people in the community who host shows point out that they don't like a horse to be 'behind the bit'. This is where the horses' muzzle tucks behind the poll. Unfortunately in the real world a select few use unconventional methods to get horses to tuck their heads in which is unnatural and although this is just a game, we try to keep away from those 'looks' as much as possible. So if you have a beautiful Sweedish Warm blood template in game which has been created using lots of neck sliders, this can have an impact on how your horse looks using some dressage poses.

Please Note: This website is for my game The Sims 3 , as a hobby breeding and showing horse breed's in virtual reality which I wouldn't be able to afford to do in real life.

Unless otherwise stated, any CC used on my horses are created by talented other member's of the community, not by myself and kindly uploaded for the public to use. I will give credit where it's due and link to the original creator's page for you to donload their CC if you wish.
